Diagnosis

Setae on flagellomeres confined to a basal whorl and ± erect; fore wing with basal 1/3 infuscate and with a small speculum (as in rubescens); head transverse, 0.7X as high as wide; eyes small, ratio height of eye/malar space = 1.4.
